Your friendly local skipper will take you and up to 3 friends or family members on a 4-hour boat trip, either in the morning or afternoon. You’ll head out west of Koh Lanta, perfect for trolling and relaxed fishing. The water here is clear, the fish are active and the coral is full of life.
Fishing gear is included, so just bring yourself and your sense of adventure. The boat only goes out when the sea is calm, so it’s always a comfortable ride. This is a laid-back, local-style trip. Perfect for travelers who want to experience nature, not a tour bus.

You will start the trip by meeting your skipper at the pier in Sala Dan. The boat is a small, local-style vessel — perfect for a peaceful half-day trip. After a short ride, while trolling on the way, we dock off the west coast of Lanta. Here you can try your hand at fishing. The skipper speaks a little English and will help you with the gear and show you the best spots. This is a simple, no-fuss adventure, designed for people who love the sea and want to enjoy it their own way.

Itinerary
For the private fishing tour we meet at the pier in Sala Dan. Our skipper will be waiting for you at the junction on the waterside. You can choose a departure time of 07:00 or 13:00.
The longtail boat takes around 30-45 minutes to reach Koh Ma. On the way, you can cast your rod and try to catch your first fish.
The skipper stops at different stops. As it's a private charter, you can decide where you wish to stay longer or want to move to a new spot. The best snorkeling is at Koh Ma. If there are people on board who like to go snorkeling, then it's definitely best to include a stop at the island.
The whole trip takes around 4 hours. You can enjoy cold water from the cool box on board or bring your own drinks and snacks. Fresh fruit is always served during the trip. At the end of the morning or afternoon, we head back to Koh Lanta. You will be dropped at the same pier as where you left earlier. The private fishing tour ends here!

This is a fully private tour, which means you’ll have the longtail boat and skipper all to yourselves. Great for families, friends or groups.
You can cancel your booking for free up until 24 hours in advance of the tour start date. That means you need to cancel no later than 23:59, 2 days before the tour date. We’ll refund you the deposit or you can choose to use it as an advance to a different booking or tour.
