The PADI Open Water Diver Course is your very first step into the underwater world. This globally recognized certification allows you to dive up to 18 meters and is accepted at dive centers around the world. Over 3 days, you’ll complete a mix of theory, pool training, and 4 open water dives at some of Thailand’s most beautiful dive sites, such as Koh Haa and Koh Bida. With small groups, new equipment, and experienced instructors, you’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving in a fun and supportive environment.

Day 1 – Pool & Theory
08:00 AM – Hotel pickup and registration with breakfast at the pier. After that, the morning is used for E-learning theory and confined water practice. In the afternoon we focus on pool skills and preparation for ocean dives.
08:00 AM – Hotel pickup and registration with breakfast at the pier and boat departure. In the morning, we complete the Open Water Dive 1 at Koh Haa, Bida or Hin Muang (max 12m). We then have lunch with drinks and snacks on board. In the afternoon, it's time for Open Water Dive 2 at the same location. We return at around 15:00.

For lunch you can expect a delicious Thai style buffet on the beach. The food is halal. If you have any specific food allergies, please let us know prior to booking this tour.
Training starts shallow (12m), with a maximum depth of 18m upon certification. The first day, we practice in the pool at 2 meters depth.
No experience is required. This is your entry-level PADI certification.
The PADI scuba diving trips from Koh Lanta are usually as follows: Koh Haa on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. Koh Bida is planned on Thuesdays and Fridays. Hin Muang & Hin Daeng on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Please note that weather conditions sometimes force us to change the location. If you want to make sure you will visit your favorite spot, please contact us in advance so we can check that for you.
Yes. Cancelling or moving your booking to another date is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded. If we have to cancel, for example for weather or safety, you can move to another date or take a full refund.

The course was well structured and the instructor was super calm and helpful. I appreciated how much time we had to practice before going into the ocean. We saw clownfish, moray eels, and even a turtle. It felt safe the whole time. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get certified.

I was a bit nervous at first but the instructor made everything feel safe and clear. The pool sessions really helped build my confidence. Once we got out to the sea, I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was down there. Everything was well-paced and not stressful at all. Great first diving experience.
