What to Expect

Expect a relaxed and fun atmosphere with patient local chefs by your side. In the Morning Market Tour Class, you’ll visit a local market to see fresh Thai herbs, spices, and vegetables. After that, it’s time to cook! You’ll learn how to make four dishes step by step. In the Dinner Class, you jump right into cooking with guidance throughout. You’ll have your own station, your own ingredients, and get to eat everything you cook.

The kitchen is clean and air-conditioned. At the end of the class, you’ll get a recipe book and certificate to take home — along with leftovers if you didn’t finish everything!

Itinerary

On monday you will be visiting the market (morning class only) and cooking the following dishes: Goong Hom Sabi (deep fried prawn spring rolls), Tom Kha (Coconut soup), Pad Thai (stir-fried noodles with chicken or vegetarian), Homemade Pad Thai sauce and Khao Niaw Mamuang (sticky rice with mango).

On tuesday (dinner class) you will be cooking the following dishes: Poh Pia Tuk Tod (deep fried vegetable spring roll)m Khao Pad Sapparot (fried rice pineapple with chicken or vegetarian), Homemade Penang curry paste, Gaeng penang (Panang curry with chicken or vegetarian) and Bua Loy Kai Wan (rice balls in sweet coconut milk with egg).

On wednesday you will be visiting the market (morning class only) and cooking the following dishes: Khanom Pang Na Gai (fried ground chicken or potato on bread), Tom Yam Gung (spicy and sour soup with shrimp or vegetarian), Geng Khiaw Wan (green curry with chicken or vegetarian), homeade green curry paste, Tub Tim Rob (yan beans ruby in sweet coconut milk).

On thursday (dinner class) you will be cooking the following dishes: Toong Tong (deepfried dough with potato or chicken), Tom Kha (Coconut soup), Khao Pad Kra Pao Gai (stir fried chicken with holy basil & rice), home made red curry paste & Geng Deng (red curry with chicken or vegetarian).

On friday (dinner class) you will be cooking the following dishes: Som Tum Thai (papaya salad), Tom Yum Gung (Spicy and sour soup with prawns or vegetarian), Geng Massaman (Massaman curry with chicken or vegetarian), Homemade Massaman curry paste & Tub Tim Grob (yan beans ruby in syrup and coconut milk).

On saturday you will be visiting the market (morning class only) and cooking the following dishes: Wihok Nong Rang (Bird shaped shrimp), Tom Jiw Gai (potato soup with chicken), Pad Thai (Stir fried noodles with chicken or vegetarian), Homemade Pad Thai sauce & Khao Niaw Mamuang (sticky rice with mango).

This Thai cooking class on Koh Lanta has a fixed set menu per day. Please check the itinerary and find the day with the food you would like to cook.

Yes. Kids aged 5–12 can join the class with a parent. We also offer a helper chef option. This option is perfect for kids as you will be making a double portion of each dish and share a cooking station.

You can cancel your booking for free up until 24 hours in advance of the tour start date. That means you need to cancel no later than 23:59, 2 days before the tour date. We’ll refund you the deposit or you can choose to use it as an advance to a different booking or tour.
